HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety

These qualifications have been developed to address the growing need to make learning more relevant to specific business environments and meet the National Occupational Standards. The HABC Level 2 Awards in Food Safety provide a flexible syllabus which enables training to be tailored to meet specific needs.

Who needs these qualifications?

Anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.

Who is this training aimed at?:

Any employee whose job involves them handling food, is legally required to be trained to Level 2 award in food safety and training should be refreshed every 3 years. The level 3 food safety award is recommended for managers and supervisors of catering operations, particularly those responsible for managing your HACCP operation. Level 4 food safety is recommended to senior managers.

Level 2 Health and Safety is applicable to anyone in a work environment, with the level 3 award aimed at managers and supervisors. The level 4 award in health and safety is relevant to those who carry out audits of your operations health and safety management systems.
